EDB Admission Arrangements for Nursery (K1) Classes in Kindergartens

Application Enquiry

Collection of application Forms (No quota):

Return of Application Forms (No quota )

1.Date：Available Any Time

2.Time： 9:00am – 5:00pm (Mondays to Fridays) ／9:00am – 1:00pm  (Saturdays)

3.Return methods: Submit the application form in person/ by post / by email  (with a hard copy of the birth certificate or valid Hong Kong residential evidence, Catholic Baptism Certificate (if any), and 2 self-addressed envelopes (including a HKD$2 value stamp)

4.Application fee: HKD$40 (The application fee payment on 6 November,2021 (Interview Day), payment by cash or cheque, the cheque payable to: St. Teresa Kindergarten), please note that application fee will not be refunded whether child has been accepted or not.

Entry Requirement

1. Interview performance
2. Child is baptized
3. The applicant with sibling(s) currently studying in the KG will be given due priority consideration.
4. For Whole day session applicants, priority would be given to families with needs (Not all qualified families will be accepted due to limited placements)

Interview Arrangements

1. All applicants will be arranged for interview
2. Interview arrangements will be announced upon return of application; if application form is being mailed, school would announce interview dates via phone
3. Interviews will be conducted in small group setting / or individual meeting
4. Children are required to be accompanied by parents

5. When interviewing Non Chinese Speaking children, interpretation and/or translation service for applicants will be provided where necessary; parents and children are allowed to be accompanied by a Chinese speaking relative/friend to facilitate communication. Interview results

Interview results will be announced before 17December 2021 by post.

Registration Procedures

1) Accepted offers: Parents are required to complete all registration procedures in person which includes handing in the “Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission (RC)” and Registration fees to school within 6-8 January 2022 (Centralized Registration Date).

2) Waiting list offers: School will notify parents on dates to complete registration procedures which includes handing in the “RC” and Registration fees to school.

3) Parents should be aware that school will not be able to process children’s enrollment to EDB if “RC/KG Admission Pass” is not provided, thus parents are required to hand in all documents necessary within designated date.

4) Registration fees for school year 2022/23 is HKD$1570 (whole day session) / HKD$970 (half day session). Registration fee would be refunded in September; However, if parent wish to withdraw the child form school, please inform the school by letter with a one-month notice period. Parent should be aware that the school will return the child’s “RC” documents but will not refund registration fees nor will placements be reserved for the child.
